Kansas Department of Agriculture’s (KDA) food safety and lodging program conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 9/9/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Pizza Hut in Oakley was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Kansas food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • 4 of 4 tongs in the wing section of the store at dried food debris on them. The PIC said they hadn’t had an order of wings today. Educated COS-PIC placed in ware washing area to be cleaned.

  • In the kitchen and dinning area of the establishment at least a dozen flies area present. Inspector 125 during the inspection had flies landing on him and flying around/ landing on his face. At one point during the inspection an employee went out back and left the back door propped open. Educated
