The Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted a follow-up inspection retail food inspection on 2/13/2020 after failing an inspection earlier this month. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Walt’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Kansas food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 1 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • In the back of the grill, fryer and in the back area of the refrigerator, there were 120+ rodent droppings, the rodent dropping looked very dark and fresh. Suggested to PIC that they should call pest control and let them treat. PIC stated they were trying to treat the issues on their own. PIC also stated they called someone to help treat the issue.
