Kansas Department of Agriculture’s (KDA) food safety and lodging program conducted an expected follow-up retail food inspection on 9/4/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the UMI Japanese Steakhouse was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Kansas food safety regulations with one violation cited.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • (2) live cockroaches are crawling in the corner on the wall under the mechanical dishwasher. Last license pest control application was 8/31. Technician noted on the Invoice no activity noted during service. Person in charge said they will next application scheduled for 9/8 or 9/9. **Repeat P Violation** **NOT Corrected on Site**
