During this inspection a total of 2 violations were found.

The restaurant’s run of fumbled inspections began shortly after opening when a complaint was received Kansas Department of Agriculture. The resulting inspection resulted in Bar Olathe being cited for 10 violations on December 10, 2019. A Follow-up Inspection found 5 violations on January 2, 2020.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Located in the walk in cooler, there was a closed box of manufacturer sealed chubs of ground beef with an additional five manufacturer sealed chubs of ground beef sitting directly on top of the box. The box was stored on a wire metal shelf directly over an open box with raw shelled eggs stored within. No sign of leakage present. (Repeat) Corrected on site – raw shelled eggs moved so no possible contamination could occur. Education provided.
  • The mounted can opener had dried white food debris on the blade. (Repeat) Corrected on site – can opener removed from service to be cleaned.
